I came across this page about "textmapping" while looking for intermediate and above grammar review sites for a native speaker who wanted to join EFI Beginner. Come to think of it, you might be interested in the grammar pages I sent him - will post separately. Anyway, "textmapping" is for teachers and parents who homeschool their children rather than for students. However, it looked interesting and is supposed to help with reading skills, so I am sharing it.
Let me know what you think. Is this something you would like to learn more about?

Thanks a lot. It seems interesting and useful. I'll use this method to me and my kids.
ReplyDeleteMy elder kid is in K, but her teacher give her the books that fit third grader. There are a lot of words in it. I have to read with her and aske her questions about the story that she read to make sure she understand it. I think if I use it on her, maybe she will learn more.

ReplyDeleteIf you think about, textmapping seems like a more elaborate - and spread out - version of the familiar & highly recommended reading practice of marking up a text.
Teacher Vanessa,
ReplyDeleteThank you for your tip. I'll try it.
I plan to take RN exam, so I give myself a year to prepare. First I have to score about 230 on TOEFL, then I have to pass two nursing exams. Can you give me some advice how to prepare TOEFL. Thank you.
